Old San Jacinto LLC has been formed

Old San Jacinto LLC was formed in Texas in August 2026 and operates from Houston. It is privately held and owns its capital outright.

The company’s first act was to stand up San Jacinto Capital. San Jacinto Capital publishes on Texas submarkets and companies — what was screened, what was passed on, what the hurdle was — and it invests the company’s own capital in Texas real estate and equities. The first piece is published and the archive is public and free.

The intent is straightforward. Own good assets in Texas, hold them for a long time, and write down the reasoning so the record exists whether or not the decisions turn out well.

Old San Jacinto is preparing to enter the trade industry as its first operating business. Additional companies may be formed as the work justifies them. When they are, they will appear here.

What gets published here

An annual letter each January, covering the year behind it. The first one covers 2026 and will be published in January 2027.

Updates like this one, when something has actually happened.

This site will be quiet for long stretches. That is the correct behavior for a company at this stage rather than a sign that nothing is going on.
